South West Energy Centre Partners with NAPIT
The South West Energy Centre, part of South Devon College, has agreed a strategic partnership with NAPIT, one of the industry’s largest training and membership scheme providers in the UK.
Tradespeople in the South West will benefit from signing up to courses at a local ‘NAPIT Approved Centre’, knowing that they can expect the high standards which are synonymous with the NAPIT brand. The partnership will open up the opportunity to access NAPIT Certification for installers who gain qualifications at the centre. NAPIT provides certification for installers of energy efficiency measures identified under Green Deal and the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.
Martin Bruno, Chief Operating Officer for NAPIT commented “NAPIT is pleased to be partnering with the South West Energy Centre as we feel there is a shared commitment to high standards between the two organisations. The centre provides outstanding facilities for installers looking to advance their skills, making it an ideal venue to gain qualifications required for NAPIT Certification.”
Paddy McNevin, South West Energy Centre Director said: “This partnership is very important for the Centre in its role as a regional hub for training and certification. It will provide people in the southern part of the region with a local training and accreditation venue that will enable businesses to build a skilled workforce in order to benefit from the opportunities in the fastest growing sector in the UK. The low carbon sector urgently requires qualified people to undertake measures to reduce the country`s carbon footprint and reach the agreed targets.”
