Samaritans offer emotional support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, to anyone who is in distress, lonely, struggling to cope, or feeling suicidal. To show our support, NAPIT has been fundraising for the charity throughout this year, as well as marking Samaritans Awareness Day on July 24.

World Youth Skills Day, celebrated annually on July 15th, empowers young people with the skills they need to step into employment. At NAPIT, we aim to give young people a ‘foundation for success’ so they can thrive at every step of their career journey.

NAPIT has welcomed news that the Government has allocated £650 million which could save motorists up to £3750 when they buy a new electric car.

NAPIT welcomes the Government’s new Industrial Strategy, in particular, the Clean Energy Sector Plan, which was published today. Nigel Richardson, NAPIT External Affairs Manager, says the 10-year plan will give greater certainty to manufacturers and installers, which should help attract investment, enable growth, and create high-quality, well-paid jobs.

June 23rd marks International Women in Engineering Day, and this year’s theme is Together We Engineer. International Women in Engineering Day gives women engineers around the world a profile when they are still hugely underrepresented.

Clean Air Day is the UK’s largest air pollution campaign, focusing attention on taking action to clean up our air and understanding the risks to health caused by air pollution. In support of Clean Air Day, celebrated on June 19, NAPIT discusses the importance of decarbonising transport and highlights the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs).

This week, NAPIT is supporting Child Safety Week 2025, which runs from June 2 to 8. This year’s theme is ‘safety is for sharing’. Families must be aware of electrical safety within the home and how to prevent the risk of a fire.

May 12th to 18th marks both Mental Health Awareness Week and Learning at Work Week 2025 (LAW Week). The theme is ‘community’ for Mental Health Awareness week, and ‘get connected’ for LAW Week.
