NAPIT have officially released the rescheduled dates and locations for the NAPIT EXPO Technical Roadshow for 2021/22.The Roadshow is a networking and CPD event for like-minded people in the industry, open to both members and non-members free of charge.

NAPIT support the open letter written to the Secretary of State, signed by 38 organisations, calling for the Government to implement the recommendations of the Construction Leadership Council’s National Retrofit Strategy into the content and implementation of the Government’s forthcoming Heat and Buildings Strategy.

Electricity is in use all around us, it can be dangerous and has the potential to be fatal, yet the legislation surrounding the safety standards of electrical installations in dwellings differs throughout the UK and between tenures. NAPIT are calling on the UK Government and devolved administrations to end this disparity to enable parity of safety for all.

From 5pm on Wednesday 31st March, the Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme which has so far resulted in 5,800 energy saving measures being installed across homes in the UK, will close to new applications.

The SPARKS Learner of the Year 2021 search has begun and NAPIT are supporting with their technical expertise. Members of NAPIT’s Technical Team will be head judges for the competition and have assisted in the creation of the assessments for the learners.

The Grenfell Tragedy in June 2017 resulted in Dame Judith Hackitt’s Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety which was published in May 2018. This has led to a wholesale review of building safety regulations in the UK and a flurry of initiatives to determine the competency requirements of those working on or in Higher Risk Buildings (HRBs).
