NAPIT has welcomed the UK Government’s consultation on the new Clean Heat Grant Scheme (CHGS), which is set to replace the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) Scheme in time.

NAPIT Trade Association have created detailed guidance for tradespeople, offering support and direction for a safe return to work in the building services industries.

Landlords in England are required to have every electrical installation within their Private Rented Property inspected and tested by a qualified and competent electrical inspector at least every 5 years, and any faults found rectified by a suitable competent electrical installer. This applies to new tenancies from the 1st July 2020, and existing tenancies from the 1st April 2021.

NAPIT has created a new publication which helps Landlords and Electrical Inspectors understand the new Legislation governing electrical safety checks within dwellings in England, which will be introduced from 1st June 2020, coming into force for new tenancies on the 1st July 2020.

NAPIT have received confirmation from the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) that the governments announcement on Sunday to go out to work if you can't work from does in fact apply to non-essential work.

NAPIT launch guidance for members on the new Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector, England, which come into force on the 1st July 2020. The Regulations require private landlords to have every electrical installation in their residential premises inspected and tested at intervals of no more than 5 years by a qualified and competent person.
