Mike Andrews, CEO of NAPIT steps up to take the new role of Divisional Managing Director for UK and Ireland Compliance and Certification Division within Phenna Group. This move will see Mike leading the division in which NAPIT are an integral part for the Phenna Group.

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and BSI, have published a Corrigendum to BS 7671:2018+A2:2022.The Corrigendum will make changes to five areas of BS 7671 and will come into effect immediately when published on Monday 15 May 2023. It will be available for free to download from the IET and BSI.

An update to the guidance issued by the Welsh Government about The Renting Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) (Wales) Regulations 2022, has been published to permit the use of an Electrical Installation Certificate in lieu of an Electrical Installation Condition Report, when relating to a wholly newly built dwelling.

BAFE and NAPIT are pleased to announce the first ever Third-Party Certification and BAFE Registration to the DS301 competency scheme, which has been achieved by CS Electrics based in County Durham. This competency scheme covers design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance works performed on Grade D domestic fire detection and fire alarm systems.
