NAPIT Welcomes Natalie Fleet MP to its Pleasley Headquarters
09 May 2025

NAPIT today welcomed Bolsover MP Natalie Fleet to their headquarters in Pleasley Vale near Mansfield in the heart of her constituency to demonstrate how we are training and certifying the electricians and renewable technology installers vital for the transition to Net Zero.
NAPIT employs around 150 staff at its site in the Pleasley Vale Business Park and has over 20,000 members nationally including over 150 in and around our Pleasley office in places such as Barlborough, New Houghton, Bolsover, Clowne and Shirebrook.
It has been a leading voice in raising standards within the electrical industry for over 30 years. The site also hosts a centre of excellence for low carbon technologies, offering a variety of low carbon training courses, including solar PV, heat pumps, energy storage and electric vehicle charging.
Ms Fleet heard from NAPIT Managing Director Frank Bertie and Stephen Melton, Commercial and Compliance Director at NAPIT.
Frank Bertie said: “We really appreciate Natalie taking the time to visit us here in Pleasley so we could show her the vital work we are doing in her constituency.
“The Government has made a number of announcements around low carbon technology, the transition to Net Zero, expansion of house building and the skills agenda which will all impact on our members.
“This will provide opportunities for our members to grow their businesses as there will be a large number of highly skilled, competent installers needed to install the heat pumps, solar panels and EV chargers required and to connect the new homes being planned.”
Natalie Fleet said: “The Government is getting Britain building again, setting a target of building 1.5 million new homes while committing to the Net Zero transition.
“It was great to hear that a company based in the historic mills in Pleasley Vale are playing such a vital role in these areas, and I really enjoyed seeing what they do and hearing from the local people who work there.
“I am proud that a Bolsover-based company is at the forefront of developing the skilled workforce needed to install innovative, renewable energy technologies, and which will give the region and the country a big helping hand in driving economic growth.”
