NAPIT launch Guidance for Landlords on the new Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector, England, which come into force on the 1st July 2020.

With the fast evolution of the COVID-19 virus impacting all businesses throughout the UK and the country in lockdown, NAPIT address the impact this is having on members and what measures they have put in place to help support them during this time.

In a wide ranging discussion we were able to share the main issues that we have had reported to us by members, for The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to take into a wider government review on the impact of COVID-19.

A brand new and exclusive white label service has been launched by NAPIT for members. The new platform, NAPIT Leads powered by eSalesHub, has been developed over the past few months to help support NAPIT members in generating inbound sales leads.

NAPIT have launched a new consumer ‘emergency call outs’ preference on the NAPIT website to support those members who are still carrying out emergency repairs and maintenance and to also help consumers find a reliable and certified tradesperson during this difficult time.

In light of recent news with the development of COVID-19 NAPIT have made the decision for the safety of our members, visitors and staff to postpone some of the NAPIT EXPO Roadshow events.

The all new female only competition will involve a knowledge and skills test open to Level 2 female electrical student apprentices from anywhere across the UK. Runners up and the winner of the competition will receive a certificate, tools and a tool bag and a selection of prizes from partners including NAPIT and Scolmore.

Following the release of the 2nd Edition of the EICR Codebreakers publication, NAPIT donated a number of books to Electrical Training Trust (ETT) to be sold to help raise money for the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland charity. NAPIT generously donated £500 to the charity from proceeds made through sales of the publication.
