Description
The Low Temperature Hot Water Heating System is a recommended pre-requisite qualification to allow progression onto the Level 3 Award in Air Source Heat Pump Systems (non-refrigerant circuits) and/or Level 3 Award in Ground Source Heat Pump Systems (non-refrigerant circuits) and/or the Level 3 Award in Heat Pump Systems (non-refrigerant circuits) ETS-008.

The course is designed to provide knowledge required to design and install Low Temperature Domestic Hot Water Heating Systems that use HEAT PUMPS as the heat source The course is assessed by a theory examination’s.
You will receive theoretical training in the following areas:
- Domestic hot water cylinder sizing
- Pipe sizing
- Expansion vessel sizing
- Hydraulic separation
- Radiator sizing
- Heat losses
- Mass flow rate
- Valve sizing
- Thermal store/buffer tank sizing
Who should attend
Required Materials
Handouts will be provided or the course however, you will be required to have your own copy of the CIBSE Domestic heating design guide 2021. This can be purchased at the centre.
Candidates must also bring 2 x passport-sized photos along with ID in the form of a passport or driver’s license.
