NAPIT welcomes the Government’s new Industrial Strategy, in particular, the Clean Energy Sector Plan, which was published today.

 

Nigel Richardson, NAPIT External Affairs Manager said: “We have contributed our views to the Government’s Industrial Strategy consultation on behalf of our 20,000 NAPIT members so it is encouraging to see the emphasis on the clean energy sector where heat pumps feature prominently.

 

“The 10-year plan will give greater certainty to manufacturers & installers which should help attract investment, enable growth and create high-quality, well-paid jobs. We look forward to seeing more details and hope we aren’t waiting too long for the Warm Homes Plan roll out and the Future Homes Standard, which will both be key to our members who are on the front line of installing clean energy technology in homes and businesses across the UK.

 

“The Clean Energy Sector Plan also talks about the need to ensure the UK is equipped with the skilled workforce we need to create good, well-paid jobs for now and the future, offering real growth opportunities for electricians and installers.”
