NAPIT Take Part in the Samaritans Dawn Walk to Celebrate World Mental Health Day

Back to Article Listing

In support of World Mental Health Day, NAPIT has participated in the Dawn Walk to raise funds and awareness for the Samaritans, who are there 24/7. The challenge brought together NAPIT staff to walk 5K at dawn for the charity's annual event, in solidarity with those struggling to cope.

The team set off before sunrise, on World Mental Health Day (October 10), on a route to the Silverhill Colliery Miner’s Statue in Nottinghamshire. It is one of the highest points in the county, making it a great viewpoint for the team to embark on a 5k walk at dawn.

NAPIT has been fundraising for the Samaritans throughout this year and is proud to support the charity as well as raise awareness for World Mental Health Day.

Sarah Lowe, NAPIT Finance & Operations Director, said: “The Dawn Walk was a great way for us to connect and get together outside of the workplace whilst raising funds for the Samaritans.

“We are proud to fundraise for a charity that makes a huge impact for those who are struggling with their mental health.”
