Electrician Qualification Pathways
Your options if you don't have a C&G or EAL accredited Level 2+3 Diploma in electrical:
If you already hold a recognised electrical qualification, such as the Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations for Dwellings (LCL Awards) or the City & Guilds 2346 Experienced Worker Qualification, you may be eligible to progress without completing additional lower-level training.
If you do not hold these qualifications, you will need to complete the relevant training and assessments before taking the AM2E, which is the essential practical assessment required to demonstrate competence and move forward to higher-level qualifications.
The AM2E provides the foundation needed to progress and is a required step before moving on to further NVQ routes or other recognised electrical qualifications.
