Description
Installers will gain knowledge of the Water Supply Regulations 1999 and Part L of the Building Regulations, both formal prerequisites of Heat Pump and Solar Thermal training. Vented and unvented hot water storage systems are common in domestic properties. This course will develop your knowledge and skills, demonstrating your competency to work on these systems in compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations for England and Wales.
What will I learn on this course?
Over the 2 day course this combined course is designed to provide installers with the essential knowledge of water systems and storage required to install Domestic RHI applicable technologies.
You will learn how to:
- Install a range of water fittings and associated systems which comply with the Water Supply Regulations 1999
- Install systems which satisfy the requirements of Part L, the section of the Building Regulations which refers to energy efficiency
- Design, install and maintain vented and unvented hot water storage systems
Who should attend?
The course is primarily for practising electricians, who are experienced in BS 7671 but there are no formal entry requirements.
