Description
The qualification is based primarily on BS 7671:2018 requirements for Electrical Installations (The IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition) and associated regulatory documents.
The Units used in this qualification have a direct relationship with the National Occupational Standards and the MTC for the areas of work contained within.
To achieve this qualification you will complete 5 days in centre in which there is some online pre-learning, during the 5 days you will complete 5 online theory assessments to confirm your learning and knowledge on these topics:
- Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation
- Practices and Procedures of Electrical Installations Assessment
- Planning, Preparation and Organisation of Electrical Installations Assessment
- Installation and Connection of Wiring Systems in Electrical Installations Assessment
- Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations Assessment
- Diagnosing and Correction of Faults in Electrical Installations
During the 5 days there will be a fault finding practical assessment. In addition after the 5 days in-centre you will be required to complete the following;
- Domestic installation which is under assessment conditions in-centre
- Complete a design project of a domestic installation
- Produce a portfolio of evidence of domestic installations
