This scheme will demonstrate you or your employee’s competence to install a range of small scale renewable and low carbon technologies in both the domestic and commercial sectors.  

For your customers to qualify for the Government incentives such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) an installation must be compliant with the MCS standards and have been installed by an MCS Approved Installer. 
 
MCS Approval with NAPIT can allow you or your employees to self-certify under the Competent Person Scheme relevant microgeneration work completed without any further membership fees or assessment. However, additional fees and assessment do apply if scheme work extends beyond the installation of microgeneration technologies (such as new circuits or hot water storage etc).
