NAPIT raise £500 for Northern Ireland Air Ambulance

Following the release of the 2nd Edition of the EICR Codebreakers publication, NAPIT donated a number of books to Electrical Training Trust (ETT) to be sold to help raise money for the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland charity. NAPIT generously donated £500 to the charity from proceeds made through sales of the publication.

Air Ambulance NI provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the region. The helicopter carries a crew compiling pilot, doctor, and paramedic, 365 days of the year operating for twelve hours every day to attended some of the most traumatic medical incidents.

During a series of technical seminars in Northern Ireland in February Breige Mullholland, Head of Operations and Finance at Air Ambulance NI, came along to NAPIT’s final event in Belfast where the donation cheque was presented. Breige said: "On behalf of Air Ambulance NI I would like to thank NAPIT and ETT for the donation of £500 towards the charity. Each day we are tasked to serious trauma incidents, this donation will enable us to continue to do so. Our team deliver pre-hospital emergency care to those in need most, without your support this would not be possible".

Mike Andrews, NAPIT Chief Executive Officer, added: "I want to thank all those that purchased a copy of EICR Codebreakers through ETT. This money was in fact raised by you. We made the decision to donate the proceeds to Air Ambulance as it is such a vital and important service. We have had two successful days bringing our technical expertise and FREE CPD to members and contractors in Omagh and Belfast. This will form part of ever-growing efforts to increase the recognition and presence of NAPIT in Northern Ireland".
