NAPIT Appointed to review Benchmark Scheme

NAPIT has been appointed by the Heating and Hotwater Industry Council to review the Benchmark Scheme which is recognised by government under Part L of building regulations.

Roger Webb of HHIC said, “the Benchmark Scheme stands at the centre of safe and efficient heating installations. We chose NAPIT to help us conduct the review because we found that their vision for the scheme and pragmatic approach fitted perfectly with our own aspirations.”

NAPIT beat off competition from other HHIC members to win the role which will see the scheme for the installation, commissioning and servicing of heating and hot water products brought up to date and re-launched.

David Cowburn, MD of NAPIT Registration said, “As a member of HHIC, we are delighted to offer our support to a scheme that underpins competence schemes such as NAPIT. Our track record for taking complex regulations and turning them into clear and simple schemes is something that we aim to bring to the project.”
