All NAPIT membership schemes require certain levels of core qualifications, and/ or in the case of an experienced worker route, the ability to demonstrate that you can competently and safely carry out the work involved. Fill out the relevant Membership Application Forms.

Once completed, return application forms to NAPIT along with all relevant supporting documents.
We recommend you return your documents by recorded delivery or email to ensure safe receipt.

We'll assist you throughout your application

Once your documents have been received, a member of staff will contact you to arrange a suitable date for your assessment (or several days for larger scopes of work).


NAPIT will carry out the programme of assessment arranged with you.

We will gather all evidence of conformity and provide feedback on any improvement actions.


After your assessment has been carried out your application will continue to be processed.

If there are any issues at this stage we will contact you to get them resolved and if you need to carry out any improvement actions we will keep in touch with you while you complete the process.


Depending on the type of membership you have applied for, once the process is complete you will receive a membership pack containing the following:

  • Your membership number and certificate
  • Your ID badge and lanyard
  • Your members area login details
  • NAPIT branded bag, van sticker and pen
  • Useful literature on offers and discounts you can take advantage of from NAPIT's full benefits package.

Some membership schemes will receive other documents in place of a membership pack.
